2012 HCE Scholarship Recipients
Hill County Electric Cooperative (HCE) recently awarded scholarships for 2012 to area students. HCE is proud to provide scholarships and educational opportunities as a building block for the future. Congratulations to the 2012 recipients on their accomplishments and best wishes for the future.
Mikell Kinsella has been selected to receive the $1,000 Basin Electric Power Cooperative (Basin) member dependent scholarship. Basin is HCE's power supplier and each year it provides scholarships to be awarded to member dependents of Basin's cooperative members. Mikell is the daughter of HCE members, Mike and Heidi Kinsella. She plans on majoring in Business at MSU-Northern after graduating from Havre High School.
In addition, HCE awarded a $750 scholarship this year to the runner-up in the Basin competition. Harold Whitford Jr., son of HCE members Harold Whitford Sr. and Melody Bernard, has been selected to receive this HCE scholarship. Harold will be attending the University of Montana in Missoula this fall, majoring in Chemistry and Biology.
Kaden Keto, son of HCE employee, Christy Keto, is the 2012 winner of the Basin employee dependent scholarship. Kaden currently attends the University of Montana in Missoula studying History and Political Science.
HCE is pleased to announce Lauren Scofield as the winner of a $500 HCEscholarship. Lauren is the daughter of HCE members, Vince and Kim Scofield. She is a senior at Havre High School and plans to study Pre-Med at Carroll College this fall.
Hill County Electric Cooperative (HCE) is pleased to announce the selection of Daniel Bitz of Big Sandy as its 2012 Workforce Development Scholarship recipient. Daniel will be entering his second year of the Electrical Technology program at MSU-Northern this fall. Daniel is the son of HCE members Ann and Larry Bitz.
