HCE's 81st Annual Meeting of Members
When: May 12th, 2026
Doors open - 11:30am, Lunch - 12pm, Business Meeting - 1pm.
Where: HCE campus at 2121 US Hwy 2 in Havre.
Come enjoy the cooperative experience! Visit with fellow members, help elect trustees for Districts 2 and 3, and enjoy a great meal along with prizes.
We’re also excited to announce expanded eligibility for our Youth Luck of the Draw Scholarships this year. Now, students or their parents/guardians who are present at the meeting are eligible to win.
All members who attend will receive a $25 bill credit. Plus, you’ll be entered into the grand prize drawing where the lucky winner gets to choose one of the following prizes:
- $500 bill credit
- $500 Chamber Gift Card
- $500 Beef & Pork package from Bear Paw Meats
Don’t forget to cast your vote in the trustee election. Mail-in and electronic voting close May 7.
Trustee Election
We are partnering with Survey & Ballot Systems, a trusted third-party provider, to make voting easy and convenient. Members have several options to cast their ballot:
Vote by mail: Complete your ballot and place it in the security envelope provided. Then use the postage-paid envelope to return it to Survey & Ballot Systems.
Vote online: Use the election passcode that was sent to you via email or included on your paper ballot and visit www.directvote.net/HCEC.
Vote through SmartHub®: Log in through the SmartHub app or web browser and click the “Vote Now” button.
Vote in person: Ballots can also be cast at the Annual Meeting on May 12.
Remember, you can only vote once and must choose one of the methods above.
Nominee Letters
ROBERT “BOBBY” LASALLE, DISTRICT #2 (INCUMBENT)
My name is Robert “Bobby” LaSalle. I am running for the trustee position for Hill County Electric District 2. I am a resident of Hill County. I have a ranching operation on Rocky Boy Reservation where I currently reside. I am also the manager of the tribal owned Dry Fork Farms.
I have served on numerous boards which include: Hill County Farm Service Agency County Committee, St. Judes School Board, Hill County 4-H Foundation and Chippewa Cree Cattleman’s Association.
I have been married to my wife Susie for 37 years and we have 2 children Beau (Maia) and Kayla and 2 grandsons.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Operations Technology and a Minor in Agricultural Business from Montana State-Northern. My past work experience includes Soil Tech for USDA-NRCS and Program Technician for USDA-FSA.
I am currently serving on the Hill County Electric Board of Trustees as an appointed member that filled the vacant position for District 2. I would greatly appreciate your vote to continue representing District 2 in the upcoming election.
TREVOR WOLERY, DISTRICT #3
Trevor Wolery is a fifth-generation small grains and pulse crop producer in Rudyard, continuing a long family tradition of Montana agriculture. He and his wife, Karleen, have been married for 26 years and are raising their family on the land that has supported generations before them.
Trevor has been deeply involved in both agriculture and community service throughout his life, serving as a dedicated EMS first responder since 2004. In addition to his emergency service work, he has served on the Hill County Conservation District and later represented producers as the Montana Grain Growers Association representative for District 4.
Together, Trevor and Karleen have three children: Kenidee, a graduate of Rocky Mountain College with a degree in biology who is currently pursuing pre-medical studies; Rhett, who will graduate from Montana State University this May with a degree in crop science; and Dirk, who will graduate from North Star High School this May and plans to attend Montana State University–Northern this fall.
TREVOR STANDING ROCK, DISTRICT #2
I am proud to be a candidate for the Hill County Electric Cooperative board, having previously served six years in this role. During my time on board, I have remained committed to responsible governance, transparency, and thoughtful decision-making that reflects the best interests of our members.
My primary goal is to ensure sound financial management while maintaining affordable electric rates and delivering superior, reliable service to our community. I understand that our cooperative exists to serve its members, and I believe every decision should be made with long- term stability, accountability, and member value in mind.
I bring experience, dedication, and a strong understanding of the cooperative model. If given the opportunity, I will remain focused on protecting our cooperative’s financial health, strengthening infrastructure, and ensuring dependable service for all members.
